Saffron is a blossom filament separated from flower Crocus sativus. It is used as an ingredient in foods, cosmetics and pharaceutical industry. Saffron is valued for its unique chemical composition and for having exotic coloring, flavour and aroma features.

Super negin

It requires the most workmanship and work hours. It does not have the small yellow tail present (styles). Super negin has the highest amount of safranal, crocin and picrocrocin. It is positioned for the retail client and coffee shop. When you need to display the thread’s shape.

Sargol is more positioned for commercial use, when visual appearance is not the priority. Sargol is for the food-, pharmaceutical-, and cosmetics industry. It is still a quality saffron, but with a lower price.

Sargol (type 2)

Pushal
(CU min 225) has yellow part of the stigma included. Some of pushal stigmas have three threads connected together at the end. Opposite to Negin, the yellow (styles) part can cause some impurity. Visually the product is ruffled. It is positioned for restaurants, coffee shops, and retail market. When visual appearance of the thread is not that important. It is less expensive than Negin and Sargol.

Broken saffron
is leftover from saffron manufacturing process. It is used by tea manufacturers.

Styles
is a yellow part of the stigma only. It has some seasoning and coloring characteristics left in it.

Powder
(CU 130-240) is for people who use saffron daily. It is easy and fast to work with. However, its shelf life is short as powder depletes its chemical features faster than threads.
